What is TIIKO changing?

TIIKO software transforms the way

  • A user interacts with the computer to conduct complex searches

  • The computer

    • Organizes and runs the searches

    • Displays deconstructed results within a a multidimensional visualization, called a knowledge object

  • A user accesses deconstructed results from within the knowledge object

TIIKO:

Translating Information into Knowledge Objects

What is a TIIKO search?

TIIKO is defined technically, non-technically and functionally.

  • Technical definition. The TIIKO LLC computer-aided system and method takes user predefined advanced, natural language search input and uses the input to direct 1….n searches and visualize 1…n results within a multidimensional, usually polyhedral, framework, called a knowledge object.
  • Non-technical definition: TIIKO is a search engine helper. It is a computer program that tells a search engine how to take natural language terms a user enters and shape them into building blocks/cells that create a multidimensional structure, called a knowledge object. Each building block is a unique doorway into one aspect of the knowledge object being studied.
  • Functional definition. TIIKO is a multidimensional advanced natural language search tool. It expands the ways in which documents are sorted or how information is organized, distributed, and accessed within a knowledge object. Because the TIIKO search methodology is user-dependent, its search capability crosses disciplines.

Why is TIIKO needed?

Present and past. The current vertical presentation of natural language search results is rooted in history, dating back to Sumerian clay tablets and Egypt’s ancient papyrus scrolls. We even use the same instruction to survey a webpage as an Egyptian scribe must have used with ancient readers, “Scroll down.”

The problem. Today’s explosion of information makes such vertical presentations cumbersome when

  • Conducting complex natural language searches that go beyond a simple query
  • Teaching/learning/writing purposes, i.e., how to organize visually thought domains and within-domain categories beyond the limitations of an outline or a matrix.

The future. TIIKO is an a priori, user defined, multidimensional search and visualization method that obviates these difficulties.

The TIIKO system and method deconstructs complex natural language searches for the user.

TIIKO’s Mission and Vision

TIIKO’s mission is  to translate information into knowledge objects.

Our vision is to provide complex knowledge consumers, in a single multidimensional search, with a user-predefined framework, a novel backend, and distribution of results within the cells of a table, matrix, or more usually a polyhedron.  This method has the potential for transforming not only advanced searching but teaching and learning as well.

Marketing Strategy

  • Sell TIIKO’s multidimensional search and display pending patent as it is, prior to minimally viable product development and testing

  OR

  • License non-exclusively TIIKO’s pending patent for minimally product development research and testing  (Phase I) and commercialization (Phase II)
    • Phase 1 research focuses on development and testing of a minimally viable product for standalone and/or web or cloud-based multidimensional search and visualization purposes.
    • Phase II research focuses on expansion and commercialization of product as developed n Phase I.
    • Consultation with the TIIKO team is available upon request throughout Phase I-II.

Potential target market industries and populations

K1-12 education. Teachers may use variety of web/cloud-based metatopics and distributed within cognitive, affective and digital/psychomotor domains to teach students for example, how to

  • Organize approaches to any one subject area (metatopic)
  • Search a metatopic multidimensionally
  • Collaborate with others in predefining search framework, conducting search, and analyzing results
  • Apply knowledge object results  in writing a report/paper/essay
  • Compare knowledge objects using the same metatopic but different domain and within-domain categories
  • Target populations. Textbook publishers, teachers, curriculum developers, and serious students.
  • Applications.
    • Organize a search for information students want to search or study or discuss within a team — or discuss in writing.
    • Analyze retrieved results
    • Use retrieved results to discuss, write about, debate the subject matter

University undergraduate and graduate education faculty/students, industrial researchers. Scholars, researchers, students may use TIIKO multidimensional search and visualization to

  • Conduct multidimensional search and visualization of complex knowledge citations/documents
  • Facilitate multidimensional search and visualization application research
  • Target populations. Law, medicine, pharmacogenetics, genetics, nursing, digital humanities, humanities, computer science and engineering.
  • Applications.
    • Conduct complex knowledge searches for research, term papers, reports, literature reviews, research background statements, and manuscripts
    • Develop, test, and commercialize various polyhedral and non-polyhedral multidimensional search and retrieval models

Industries. Professional and/or computer-based industries that rely on reporting, storing, retrieval upon demand of narrative text that fits user-defined intent, expressed in dimensions (context) and within-domain categories (specific content).

  • Target populations.  Law firms, law enforcement entities, electronic health record companies, big data and natural language processing (NLP) firms, human-computer interaction, cognitive learning, and AI firms.
  • Applications.
    • Retrieve natural language text by legal/law enforcement purposes
    • Facilitate Big Data NLP research/management
    • Develop, test, and commercialize various polyhedral and non-polyhedral multidimensional search and retrieval models
    • Idea/patent generation – computer-aided cognitive learning, eCognition, human-computer interaction, AI

Local, state, federal government agencies/ institutions. Personnel who benefit are those responsible for or who need to apply quickly complex knowledge documents stored within and across large databases. These documents may include reports, manuals, hyperlinked instructions, guidelines available in stand-alone or web/cloud-based governmental databases.

  • Target populations.  Professionals/staff within such agencies/institution.
  • Applications. For example, personnel may need or be directed to look up procedure(s) for x (metatopic) within manuals (A, B, C, D), reports (2015, 2016, 2017), and memorandum (2015, 2016, 2017).
